In this section our intent is to provide news of interest to our Holy Cross faith community. These are the stories and features that would not usually find their way into our secular news media, weekly bulletin or may even be expansions of the bulletin inserts. Holy Cross Volunteers Appreciation Dinner 2018


On July 1, 2018 Holy Cross Church held an appreciation dinner for all the volunteers who have spent time and efforts to help at the various functions and Ministries at the church and make the church operate as well at it should. The dinner theme this year was "Italian Fest" with the appropriate serving of Viva La Pasta.

Holy Cross Annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration.


The Annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration, sponsored by the Knight of Columbus, was held on March 17, 2018 in the Cosgrove Center. The evening featured Irish music, Irish dancers, a fabulous corned beef dinner, and a great raffle. It was enjoyed by many parishioners and friends.

Grotto Dedication Ceremony at Holy Cross.


On Februarey 25, 2018, after 6 months and hundreds of hours, Matthew Avila completed his Eagle Scout Project, a beautiful stone Grotto to house a statue of Mary. He raised the funds through $100 donation in exchange for engraved bricks in the path leading to the statue and other donations. He organized the labor which included himself, his grandfather, Rudy Avila, his uncle, other friends, family members, and the scouts in Troop 611. The statue of Mary came from Italy and was donated by Dcn. Mike Kromm.

Holy Cross 33rd Annual Christmas Boutique 2017.


THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!

The Annual Christmas Boutique was a huge success. Thanks to the Boutique Committee headed up by Marie Sullenbarger and Patti Mann, Holy Cross enjoyed woderful fellowship, great shopping with delicious burritos and baked goods. The hard work and dedication of everyone involved is very much appreciated!!

Holy Cross Trunk-or-Treat 2017


Our annual Trunk-or-Treat was, once again, a grand success!. The children along with parents, grandparents and family members were filled with pure joy as they played games, did crafts, had yummy food, and trunk-or-treated. Our trunk decorators did a fabulous job as always. The dedication to ensuring the children of our parish have a fun time is evidence of what a remarkable parish we have here at Holy Cross.

Holy Cross Papal Honors Receipients 2017


Holy Cross parish is extremely honored to have two of our parishioners receive Papal Honors. Our Holy Father, Pope Francis has decided to recognize a select number of Catholics in the Archdiocese for their committed service to Chirst and the Church.
He has granted the "Pro Ecclecia et Pontifice" ("For the Church and for the Holy Father") to SUSAN JONES, our Director of Faith Formation and "Benemerenti" ("Serving with Distinction") to DEACON TRINIDAD ANDRADE.
A celebration with Solemn Vespers with blessing of those receiving the honors were held Sunday, September 3, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.

Holy Cross Volunteers Appreciation Dinner 2017


On June 4, 2017 Holy Cross Church held an appreciation dinner for all the volunteers who have spent time and efforts to help at the various functions at the church and make the church operate as well at it should. The dinner theme this year was "The Old West" with the appropriate serving of Red's Barbeque. Music entertainment was provided and a line dance instruction provided by Elaine McGovern. A good time was had by all with many participants dancing the line dance and of course The Electric Slide on the dance floor.
